8/11/17 - Applying The Rule Of Thirds

Before Applying the Rule of Thirds
Even though they are somewhat in the middle, the rule of thirds isn't applied. When you use a 3x3 grid some people are too much to the side
After Applying Rule of Thirds
You can see that the orientation of the image kinda improved. Some people are in the lines but some ended up in the middle.
After Applying Rule of Third
Since I tried to get the picture to be on the side rather than in the middle, I was unable to do it because of th e amount of people in the picture and th amount taken. It ended up with the focus point being on my mom's face and the vertical left line in between my cousin's body.

8/23/17 - My animated GIF

My assignment consisted of making a GIF out one of my elements of art picture. The concepts that were required were to make a GIF using photoshop. This picture contains white and black and different types of filers used. This assignment connects to the real world industry because we (or many people) use them when they are texting or want to make a conversation more interesting. I have seen a GIF on text, Instagram, snapchat, and many more social medias.
8/24/17 - My Name - Photography Art

This is an image of graffiti in Paris. This graffiti creates a J for my name. It is interesting to see different art from different people.
This is an image of a wet sign. This sign creates the A for my name. It is interesting to find hidden things in our daily life objects.
This is an image of a directional. This directional creates an I for my name. It is interesting to find things that you did't see before.
This is an image of a traffic pole. This traffic pole creates a D (lower case) for my name. I find it interesting how we don't really notice what's around us.
This is an image of a thing that protects the steering wheel. This thing creates the Y for my name. I find it interesting how I never noticed it.
8/31/17 - Me, My color, and I

In order to make this, I used Photoshop and tools like using the quick selection tool to crop out an image and put it in top of another, using the hue adjustment tool, and applying the text tool. This picture shows tranquility and a place to relax. This. compared to its before, is way better because it was good composition. I've seen this type of editing on billboards when they want to sell something.
9/11/17 - Camera Frames
In order to complete this assignments, I needed to know what an extreme long shot, long shot, medium shot, medium close-up, close-up, and extreme close-up were. I knew I was ready to complete this assignments when I was able to tell what frame was which and the description of each frame. I used HDR to capture this pictures because it gave it more of a texture look, and color. The before picture shows a little bit of sadness, or not the happiest setting, and afterwards it looks more alive and happy. This assignment connects to the real world industry because producers use this frames to give each frame a different felling/emotion.
10/10/17 - Camera Angles

![]() Picture of a guitar taken from a canted angle. | ![]() Picture of a guitar taken from a bird's eye angle. |
For this assignment we learned about camera angles. We learned what each angles is called. In order to correctly complete this assignment we needed to understand the relationship between an angle, camera position and the object itself, we reviewed and practiced with Mrs. Camacho tomato sure we understood each angle and its term.
This types of angles are used whenever a director or photographer wants to make an image portray an emotion to the viewer of the photo.
I am for sure going to use this angles later on. I'm going to use them whenever I want to make a picture of mine portray a certain emotion to the people looking at it.
10/18/17 - Shutter Speed

This image of Bianca doing a cartwheel was captured using a shutter speed of 1/200th of a sec. you can see how she seems to freeze in mid air.

This image of Bianca doing a cartwheel was captured with 1/80th of a sec. you can detect little motion in the picture and you can tell that Bianca was moving.

This image was captured using a shutter speed of 1/20th of a sec. I like how you can see a lot of motion in this picture with a good amount of light.
10/26/17 - Aperture
f/4.5

11/01/17 - ISO Setting

In this picture I manipulated the shutter speed, aperture and the ISO. The shutter speed was 1/3200, the aperture was 36, and ISO was 6400. I knew this would be under exposed because I have a very fast shutter speed (which means that not a lot of light gets in) I also have a large aperture meaning it gets a lot of light in and the ISO was very largo therefore the picture would end up under exposed.

In this picture I manipulated the shutter speed, aperture and the ISO. The shutter speed was 1/125, the aperture was 7.1, and ISO was 100. I knew this picture was going to be correctly expose because my shutter speed wasn't so big but not to small either, my aperture was small therefore there was depth of field and it lets the right number of light in, the ISO was 100 not letting the sensitivity of the camera be too much.

In this picture I manipulated the shutter speed, aperture and the ISO. The shutter speed was 1/25, the aperture was 36, and ISO was 6400. I knew this picture was going to be over exposed because I have a shutter speed that took a long time to close therefore a lot of light got in, my aperture is also 36 which doesn't give depth of field and lets a lot of light in, my ISO was 6400 also letting a huge amount of light in.
